The Star
✦
Upright Meaning
After difficulty, something is opening. The Star shows up in those moments when you're finally able to breathe again, when healing is underway even if it's not complete. This is a moment to receive what's being offered instead of bracing for the next storm.
Reversed Meaning
Hope feels distant right now, or you've lost faith in an outcome you used to believe in. That's honest, and it's allowed. But despair has a way of becoming self-fulfilling if it's the only lens available. What small thing is still alive in you that deserves tending?
The Star in love
If you're single, The Star brings hope after a hard stretch. You're healing, and your heart is opening to love again.
In a relationship, there is renewed trust and tenderness. You may feel seen, and safe enough to be vulnerable.

The Star in career and money
CareerAt work, The Star brings inspiration and a fresh sense of purpose. Aquarius rules this card, so innovative, creative or humanitarian work is especially favored.
MoneyFinancially, recovery is on its way after a hard stretch. Things improve gradually, so keep a hopeful plan, like the woman at the pool with one foot on dry land.
Is The Star a yes or no card?
Yes, because The Star is renewal and hope after a difficult time.
Ask your own yes or no question →The Star as advice
Keep pouring your energy into what you believe in, even if the results are slow to show. Rest, heal and let yourself hope again without apologizing for it.
What are you genuinely hopeful about, even if you're afraid to say it out loud?
What the Star card shows
A naked woman kneels by a pool, one foot in the water and one knee on the bank, pouring water from two jugs, one into the pool and one onto the land. Above her shines a large eight-pointed star surrounded by seven smaller stars, and a bird perches in a tree behind her. She is completely unguarded, which speaks of peace and openness, and the water she pours back renews both the emotions and the earth.

The Star questions
Is The Star a good card?
Mostly, yes. The Star is one of the more welcome cards to draw, bringing hope, renewal, faith and serenity. Reversed, that same energy can slip into hopelessness, despair, disconnection and lost faith, so the cards around it still matter.
What does The Star reversed mean in love?
Reversed in love, The Star shows lost faith or disappointment. You may doubt that the love you want is possible, and that doubt is worth gently questioning.
What zodiac sign is The Star?
Aquarius. In the Golden Dawn correspondences that most modern decks follow, The Star is assigned to Aquarius, which makes it an Air card.
Is The Star yes or no?
Yes. Drawn upright, The Star answers yes. Reversed, it turns to no, usually because something has to change first.
